Darci Lynn Farmer AGT Quarterfinals

Ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and her puppet Oscar received a standing ovation on the “America’s Got Talent” quarterfinals on Tuesday. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Farmer won the first Golden Buzzer of season 12 at the end of the 2017 “America’s Got Talent” premiere in May. The 12-year-old revealed that she’s typically on the shy side, but she and puppet Petunia wowed with their audition. The bunny rabbit even shushed her owner when she tried to join in her singing performance. When they received a standing ovation, Farmer burst into tears.

The crying only continued as the judges lavished the pair with praise, culminating in Mel B hitting the Golden Buzzer. Like the other panelists, the Spice Girl singer could push the button only once during the auditions. The advantage meant Farmer would skip Judge Cuts, the second round of the NBC competition, and move directly to the live quarterfinals. Tonight’s big broadcast marked only the second time Farmer would be on stage, and the first time America would vote on whether she should continue on to the next phase. And to top it all off, she was given the closing shot.

Before her new act, the tween admitted, “It still feels like I’m in a dream and I’m gonna wake up soon.” Much like with ventriloquism, she credited “AGT” with helping her “come out of my shell.” Her hometown of Oklahoma City even declared “Darci Lynn Farmer Day.” And for this performance, Farmer had a new puppet to introduce, a mouse named Oscar. “He’s socially awkward just like me. I’m super nervous, but here we come America,” she said.

When on stage, Oscar revealed he’s “fallen in love” with Mel B. Farmer deemed that a problem, since “she’s a human and you’re a mouse.” Replied Oscar, “I didn’t think that would be an issue. Heidi [Klum] was married to a seal.” In honor of his lady love, Oscar then belted “Who’s Lovin’ You,” and the judges were on their feet long before the performance was over.

Klum exclaimed afterward, “I mean, most people can’t even sing with their mouth open, and you sing so beautifully with your mouth shut! I can’t believe it.” Mel B said, “Darci, you’re just out of this world. You’re my Golden Buzzer, and Oscar, I will date you.” The mouse was quite happy to hear that. Simon Cowell told Farmer, “What can I say, Darci? You young lady, and Oscar, get ready for the big time, ’cause it’s coming your way.”

And Howie Mandel amusingly cracked, “Once you go mouse, you won’t leave the house. Vote!” Watch the video below!
