Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz's marriage is frequently the subject of phony tabloid stories. Gossip Cop has debunked several bogus reports about the spouses. Here are five wrong rumors.
Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted Star for falsely claiming Weisz was being driven "insane" by her husband's extreme diet and workout routine for his upcoming James Bond movie. The outlet maintained that Craig's dedication to his role was causing problems at home, as he was supposedly "avoiding parties" with his wife and waking her up in the middle of the night doing pushups. The ridiculous premise came from an anonymous "insider," but Craig's rep told us on the record that it was completely fabricated.
Last month, Gossip Cop debunked a National Enquirer story about Craig and Weisz "playing Cupid" for Halle Berry and Keanu Reeves. According to the magazine, Craig introduced the two stars a few years ago, prior to them teaming up on John Wick: Chapter 3. The outlet went on to say that sparks flew on set between Reeves and Berry.
Craig, who co-starred with Berry in 2018's Kings, and Weisz, who co-starred with Reeves in two films, were supposedly "doing their best" to play matchmaker. The article seemed to have been written because many of the parties involved have worked with each other. But Craig's rep, who's qualified to speak on the actor's behalf, assured us there was "no truth" to the fictional storyline.
Last May, shortly after the news broke that Craig and Weisz were expecting their first child, the National Enquirer alleged they were only having a baby to save their marriage. The tabloid insisted the two were headed for a divorce but believed a baby would solve their problems. Craig's rep, however, assured Gossip Cop on the record that the actor and his wife were never having marriage problems. Around the same time, People magazine reported that "having a child is a natural desire" for Craig and Weisz.
Back in October 2017, Gossip Cop busted Star for falsely claiming Craig and Weisz were having marriage trouble because the actor signed on for two more James Bond movies. The magazine maintained the actress was worried about her husband partaking in dangerous stunts and was sick of having to worry about him. A source close to the couple assured us at the time that Weisz is nothing but supportive of her husband's career. And, of course, the happy spouses are clearly still going strong.
And finally, Gossip Cop called out the National Enquirer in July 2017 for wrongly alleging Craig and Weisz were "living separate lives." The tabloid claimed the spouses were on the verge of a split because they spent so much time apart and had busy work schedules. The outlet has published many variations of this bogus narrative, which has obviously never panned out. In the time since the article was published, Craig and Weisz welcomed the first child and remain happily married.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
