Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz’s marriage is not in “crisis,” no matter how often often the National Enquirer claims it or how many different synonyms the supermarket tabloid uses to convey marital problems. Gossip Cop can, once again, correct the publication’s inaccurate assertion that the couple is “living separate lives.” We’re told it’s “100 percent made-up” fake news.

According to the magazine’s latest attempt to contend there’s trouble in their marriage, Craig possibly reprising the role of James Bond could be “at the cost of his marriage to Rachel Weisz!” The outlet then notes how it previously reported that Craig turned down a $150 million deal to film two more James Bond films supposedly to repair his and Weisz’s fractured relationship. But, as Gossip Cop has been accurately reporting, their marriage is perfectly fine, and talk about Craig being offered $150 million to return for two new James Bond movies is a fabrication.

Anyway, the tabloid blares now that Craig may go back to work as 007, “Daniel and his Oscar-winning wife are living separate lives!” A few sentences later, the outlet writes that Craig “could be carrying on as Bond without his real-life wife!” Separate from being factually untrue, it’s interesting that the publication uses exclamation points to gleefully maintain three different times that Weisz and Craig are splitting up.

The magazine then quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “Rachel and Daniel haven’t been happy for a while, and nearly called it quits last year.” After stating how Weisz is working on Disobedience in London, and Craig is shooting Kings with Halle Berry in Los Angeles, the same alleged “insider” claims, “With the time difference and their focus on work commitments, no one would be surprised to learn they’ve split.” Actually, that’s wrong, too. Craig finished production on Kings five month ago, so there’s currently no time difference or distance between the spouses. That, however, is not the worst offense in this fake news story.

The tabloid’s highly suspicious source further says, “Rachel wants to reignite her career this year, and Daniel’s heartbroken,” adding that Craig has talked about putting his family before his job. The outlet’s misinformed or possibly made-up “insider” relates how the James Bond star once said, “Being on your own would be sad, sick in weird… I don’t trust myself. I need that balance.”

But the Enquirer is entirely wrong, much like it has been in the past when it’s made the same untrue claims. In fact, the tabloid is so lazy and seemingly phony that it completely regurgitated the exact same quotes it had published in February when Gossip Cop first busted it for a story that falsely maintained Craig and Weisz were living “separate lives.” Five months ago, the often discredited magazine quoted a source as saying, “Rachel and Daniel haven’t been happy for a while, and nearly called it quits last year,” and “With the time difference and their focus on work commitments, no one would be surprised to learn they’ve split.”

Sound familiar? The tabloid pathetically used the same bogus sentences word-for-word that it had previously published. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the couple, who assures us the latest, regurgitated article is “100 percent made-up” fake news.
