One of this week's tabloids claims Daniel Craig's extreme diet and workout routine for the upcoming James Bond movie is driving his wife Rachel Weisz insane. The story is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

According to Star, the actor has been going all out in an effort to get in shape before his next 007 movie begins shooting in the coming months, but his dedication to the role is causing problems at home. An alleged insider tells the magazine that Craig "has been avoiding parties" with his wife "and will only sip water at events he's expected to attend."

The supposed source continues, "Rachel has seen him go overboard before, but this is really extreme. Daniel will run away from the dinner table to knock off a hundred squats or lunges, and he'll do one-arm pushups in the middle of the night when she's trying to sleep." The suspicious tipster further contends that Weisz is "beyond frustrated" by her husband's supposed behavior.

The tabloid's absurd story is coming from an anonymous and untraceable "insider," but Gossip Cop checked in with Craig's spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's false. Despite what the magazine's so-called "source" claims, a rep qualified to speak on the actor's behalf assures us the article is fabricated.

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the outlet has alleged that the actor's iconic role was causing problems in his marriage. In September 2017, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for falsely claiming Craig and Weisz were headed for a split over his decision to reprise his role in another James Bond film.

The outlet said at the time that the actress didn't want her husband doing any more stunts for his action franchise, and was upset he had signed on for another sequel. Of course, the couple is still happily married as Craig gears up to shoot the next Bond flick.

In July 2017, the tabloid's sister publication, the National Enquirer, also alleged that Craig and Weisz' marriage was in trouble simply because they hadn't been photographed together in a while. Shortly before that, the outlet made up a story about Craig and Weisz "living separate lives" amid a supposed marriage crisis. Basically, the gossip media has spent a lot of time trying to break up the happy spouses, who welcomed their first child together last year. This latest article about the actor's preparations for James Bond hurting their relationship is more nonsense.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
