Dancing with the Stars contestants Ally Brooke and Lauren Alaina are not angry about Christie Brinkley’s daughter Sailor replacing her mom on the show, despite a false report. Gossip Cop can correct the bogus narrative. It’s simply not accurate.

It was announced on Monday that Brinkley’s 21-year-old daughter will be taking her mom’s place on the reality competition show after the former supermodel fell and broke her arm during rehearsals. According to RadarOnline, contestants Brooke, 26, and Alaina, 24, aren’t happy with the situation because they don’t want to compete against another person around their same age.

“Ally and Lauren seem irritated that another young celebrity has come into the mix,” a supposed source tells the blog. “They are annoyed there is another young girl to go up against.” It should be noted, fellow contestant Hannah Brown is 24-years-old, but the website makes no mention of her at all. The unreliable outlet also doesn’t provide any other details to back up its questionable story. That’s probably because there’s zero truth to it.

Gossip Cop checked in with a source involved in the production of Dancing with the Stars, who tells us the blog’s article is entirely false. A source close to Brooke also confirms the website’s article is nonsense, and adds, “Ally is excited to be part of the show and has a great relationship with all of the other contestants.” An individual in Alaina’s camp echoes that sentiment. The outlet’s attempt at stirring up controversy is baseless.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time the blog has attempted to create phony drama behind the scenes of the Dancing with the Stars. Last year, Gossip Cop called out the site for falsely claiming pro-figure skaters Tonya Harding, Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu were all feuding on the set of the show. The skaters themselves refuted rumors about them not getting along shortly after we corrected the report.

Gossip Cop has also debunked several phony articles regarding the casting of the hit show. We previously busted RadarOnline’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting Caitlyn Jenner would be joining the athletes edition of Dancing with the Stars. Shortly before that, we called out the same magazine for making up a story about O.J. Simpson joining Dancing with the Stars.

Due to the popularity of the reality competition show, the gossip media just grasps at straws to come up with fake scenarios surrounding it. This latest one was invented to capitalize on the news that Brinkely’s daughter would be replacing her. There’s no validity to the idea that other contestants are upset about the casting shakeup.
