Dakota Johnson is often targeted by the tabloids with fake news stories. Gossip Cop frequently debunks false reports about the actress. Here are five wrong rumors.

Last month, Gossip Cop busted Woman's Day for falsely claiming that Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, warned him to stay away from Johnson, who he co-stars with in the new movie Bad Times at the El Royale. The article emerged after Johnson joked about Hemsworth's "outrageous" physique being "a distraction" on the set of their film. The outlet maintained that the actor's wife was "seething" over the comments, but many of his former female co-stars have commented on his good looks, so the story didn't make much sense. Additionally, Johnson is in a serious relationship with Chris Martin, so it's not as if the actress was looking to steal Hemsworth from his wife. The report was simply fabricated.

Gossip Cop also called out Life & Style last month for wrongly reporting that Johnson and Martin had gotten engaged. However, the unreliable magazine provided zero details about when and where the Coldplay singer supposedly proposed. The story was concocted after Johnson and Martin got matching tattoos last month, but there was no truth to it. The actress's rep told us on the record that she and her boyfriend aren't engaged.

In January, Gossip Cop debunked a Heat story about Johnson being pregnant with Martin's baby. The pair had only been dating for a few months when the phony report emerged. As time has proven, the actress wasn't expecting a child back in January. In fact, she still isn't. Following recent false rumors about Johnson being pregnant, the actress made it clear last week on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she's not expecting.

Also in January, RadarOnline made up a story about the actress's dad, Don Johnson, being unhappy about his daughter's romance with the Coldplay frontman. The blog alleged that the actor didn't approve of the age difference between the two and felt their relationship was moving too fast. Gossip Cop corrected the bogus report when it was first published, and it's since been proven completely false. In August, Johnson's dad cheered on Martin as he performed during a benefit concert in the Hamptons.

And finally, Gossip Cop corrected the New York Post last October after the newspaper wrongly speculated that Johnson was dating Jon Hamm. The theory emerged because the two were spotted hanging out at a bar in New York City. However, we were assured by a source close to the situation that the actor and actress, who co-star together in Bad Times at the El Royale, are just friends. A few days after we shot down the romance rumors, the news emerged that Johnson was dating Martin.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
