The Daily Mail is denying it photoshopped photos of pregnant Kylie Jenner. The expectant reality star, while not addressing her pregnancy, accused the British paper and photo agency X17 of altering recent paparazzi pictures, but they're hitting back at her claims.
On Sunday, the Daily Mail blared on its website, "PICTURE EXCLUSIVE It's baby Jenner! Kylie debuts her bump for the first time as she hides pregnant figure under baggy clothes." In the fuzzy photos, taken with a long lens, she is seen in the parking lot of a private airport wearing a black sweatshirt and sweatpants. There's no full "bump" visible, but she isn't exactly looking slim, either. In fact, the loose-fitting clothing only adds to what seems to be a larger appearance. It marked the first time Jenner's mid-section was photographed in weeks.
But after the snapshots circulated online, Jenner tweeted, "First of all if you're going to photoshop my photos blogs/paps!! Check for the crooked lines in the background. 2nd photo is clearly altered." She also retweeted a makeup artist, who backed her up by insisting, "This was edited !!! Check the car line." Their argument seems to be that because the back of a car pictured with Jenner looks unnaturally curved, the images were distorted through digital manipulation.
The U.K. tabloid updated its story to acknowledge Jenner's accusations, but also added a point-blank denial, stating, "DailyMail.com can confirm that these pictures have not been Photoshopped." In addition, X17 insisted on its own site that the photos are "REAL! No Photoshop, #nofilter, no additives, no preservatives — all organic and all REAL!" The paparazzi agency even suggested Jenner has an ulterior motive for trying to get people to believe the pictures were edited.
"We're totally cool with Kylie pretending she's not pregnant so she can get paid off by some magazine or TV show to make a big reveal but let's get real, people, we KNOW she's with child and we KNOW who the daddy is," X17 wrote. Indeed, though those close to Jenner have not gone on the record, it was confirmed in September that she is expecting a baby with boyfriend Travis Scott. Notably, the first-time mom has not denied any of the pregnancy reports, and, importantly, didn't actually say here that she doesn't have a baby bump.
