Bachelor Paradise Sexual Consent

Sources close to Corinne Olympios reportedly say she did not consent to sexual interaction with DeMario Jackson during the filming of “Bachelor In Paradise” because she was too drunk. His camp has maintained their contact was consensual.

On Sunday, Warner Horizon announced production on the new season of “Bachelor In Paradise” was suspended after inappropriate conduct took place. It was later reported that a producer filed a complaint after allegedly witnessing sexual behavior between two contestants. This show and others in “The Bachelor” franchise do allow the contestants to engage in sexual activity. Storylines are often built around it.

But in this instance, sources speaking anonymously on Olympios’ behalf claim she was too drunk at the time of the hookup to consent to any such contact. According to TMZ, the reality star’s team further maintains she blacked out from drinking and did not recall anything had taken place until other contestants informed her what allegedly went down. She is reportedly upset that producers did not step in to stop the interaction, particularly since Jackson was also allegedly under the influence.

Sources close to Jackson previously acknowledged to TMZ that they had been drinking, but insisted Olympios was fully aware and engaged in what was taking place between them. It’s unclear at this point if this has become a criminal matter involving police. Warner Horizon has confirmed an investigation is underway, but has not addressed any of the claims about what supposedly happened.

Host Chris Harrison, who was in Mexico for the film shoot at the time of the incident, has not publicly commented. The other cast members have left the location, and it seems unlikely production will resume for this season. As Gossip Cop previously reported, Olympios competed on “The Bachelor” earlier this year, and was one of Nick Viall’s final four. Jackson was recently eliminated from Rachel Lindsay’s season of “The Bachelorette” after lying to her about having a girlfriend. Gossip Cop has reached out to reps for “Bachelor In Paradise” and Olympios.
