Corinne Olympios hired Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer in the aftermath of the sexual encounter she had with fellow “Bachelor In Paradise” cast member DeMario Jackson in Mexico on June 4. From his end, their contact in a swimming pool during the filming of the ABC reality show was consensual, though he admits they were both somewhat drunk. Olympios, however, is seemingly signaling that she may sue Warner Bros., noting in a statement to Gossip Cop that she’s now dealing with “physical and emotional trauma.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Warner Bros. shut down production on the upcoming season of “Bachelor In Paradise” after a producer filed a complaint about alleged sexual activity between Jackson and Olympios, who may have been too drunk to give her consent. The “Bachelor” alumna says she blacked out and doesn’t recall what went down. Now, she’s hired a powerhouse Hollywood attorney and is speaking out. Olympios, who appeared on the previous season of “The Bachelor,” and was sexually aggressive with its star Nick Viall, maintains in a statement to Gossip Cop that she’s a “victim.”

Olympios notes that as a woman this is her “worst nightmare,” and she’s hired a team to investigate the circumstances of that night, with the hope that the facts come “to light and I can continue my life.” The reality star adds that she’s also engaged the services of “an attorney to obtain justice.” Additionally, Olympios mentions in her statement that she’s “seeking therapy” and has begun dealing with the “physical and emotional trauma” from that night in the pool.

For its part, Warner Bros. is conducting an investigation as to what happened that night, and has already spoken to all the other cast members and begun looking at footage that was shot of Jackson and Olympios in the pool. While Olympios asserts that she was far too inebriated to remember the sexual encounter, Jackson is countering that she had had enough of her faculties to make the decisions she did. Gossip Cop will continue to monitor the situation.

UPDATE: Jackson says in his own statement, “It’s unfortunate that my character and family name has been assassinated this past week with false claims and malicious allegations. I will be taking swift and appropriate legal action until my name is cleared and, per the advice of legal counsel, will be seeking all available remedies entitled to me under the laws.”
