Corey Sligh was indicted on charges of child molestation. The case stems from his arrest last fall.

As Gossip Cop reported, Sligh was arrested in Georgia in October for allegedly molesting a minor between the months of April and September 2016. At the time, a spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office told us the victim was “younger than 10 years old at the time of the incident.” The parents of the victim contacted the authorities after learning of the alleged sexual abuse.

Sligh was released from custody on $22,000 bond, but he’s now facing an arraignment next month after a federal grand jury handed down an indictment. The jury decided to charge the actor with two counts of felony child molestation. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.

Prior to his arrest, Sligh was best known for appearing on “The Young & The Restless.” He previously made headlines in 2014 after being physically assaulted on Thanksgiving in a Rite Aid parking lot. Sligh was significantly injured, and two men were arrested for the crime.

Sligh now belongs to a dishonored group of notable names allegedly involved in child sex offenses. Former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle is currently in prison for traveling for the purpose of having sex with minors and possessing child pornography. “Glee” star Mark Salling is awaiting trial on child porn possession. And on Tuesday, hours before TMZ broke the news of Sligh’s indictment, it was reported YouTube star Austin Jones was arrested for allegedly producing child pornography.
