Even as its gross dropped, Coco stayed atop the box office throne. However, that will all probably change next week when the new Star Wars movie opens. Get the details, and check out this weekend’s Top 10 movies below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, Coco opened two weeks ago as the latest critically-acclaimed film from Pixar. It easily topped the box office with its debut, and held on to first place last weekend as well. Now the animated movie has won its third weekend straight, despite ticket sales declining week to week. Coco is benefiting from a lack of major wide releases, which will change when Star Wars: The Last Jedi is released next Friday.

But for now, it was still all about Coco, which had a haul of $18.3 million. Justice League took in $9.6 million for second place. And Wonder earned $8.5 million and the third position. As a result, the heartwarming movie crossed the cumulative $100 million mark after a month in theaters.

Meanwhile, James Franco’s The Disaster Artist rode its positive buzz to $6.4 million in ticket sales, which was enough to put it in fourth place. Ranking fifth was Thor: Ragnarok with $6.3 million. That was good news for Marvel, since Thor hit the $300 million milestone.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Daddy’s Home 2 in sixth with $6 million. Murder On The Orient Express chugged along, securing seventh place with $5.1 million. Coming in eighth was The Star. It made $3.7 million. The much praised film Lady Bird nabbed ninth with $3.5. And just making it into the final slot was Just Getting Started. It earned $3.2 million. “Just getting started” is an apt way to put the holiday box office season, which will soon kick into high gear with Star Wars and upcoming Christmas Day releases.
