Could Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia Gerber be the newest face on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"? A new report claims the rising star wants to join the reality show, but her supermodel mom is objecting. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story, as neither allegation is true.
"Cindy's Worst Nightmare! Kaia Wants To Join 'KUWTK,'" RadarOnline is falsely blaring in a headline on Tuesday. According to the site, "Kaia's joining the clan — and her famous parents are freaking out!" It's specifically alleged Gerber is "hanging out non-stop with Kendall Jenner against her parents wishes — and she's poised to sign on the dotted line for a 'KUWTK' appearance!"
A supposed source is quoted as saying, "This will infuriate Cindy and [husband] Rande, who have plans for their own show in the works, but there's nothing they can do." The webloid alleges "Kaia's had her head totally turned by Kendall and her family," with its purported snitch asserting the teen "thinks they walk on water and that by appearing on the show she's taking a sure-fire step towards mega-stardom." From there, the outlet regurgitates its previously debunked claims about Crawford warning her daughter to stay away from Jenner and the Kardashians.
That was in October, and Gerber and Jenner have been photographed together since then, including less than two weeks ago, proving our bust right. Gossip Cop accurately reported then that Crawford has no problem with the friendship and that's still the case today. And while there's currently no plans for Gerber to join "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," she's not against her daughter appearing on the series. Furthermore, Crawford and her family are not doing their own reality show.
Gossip Cop already debunked that claim nearly three months ago, when RadarOnline's sister publication, the National Enquirer, claimed E! was looking to "replace" the Kardashians and "set their sights" on Crawford "and her crew." The article was doubly inaccurate. A rep for the family exclusively told Gossip Cop that there was no such project in the works and then E! renewed their deal with the Kardashians a few weeks alter.
Now we can confirm this new story is doubly wrong, too. The Crawford-Gerber family (pictured above with Kim Kardashian in April) is still not pursuing "their own show," and Gerber is not trying to join "KUWTK." A spokesperson tells Gossip Cop exclusively, "It is all made-up."
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
