The 2016 “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” tree lighting ceremony takes place Wednesday night in New York City, and Gossip Cop has a live stream of the event available online. Watch it below!

The annual celebration, which kicks off at 8 p.m. on NBC, will be hosted by “Today” show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Hoda Kotb. Leading up to the lighting of the tree, there will be musical performances by Tony Bennett, Neil Diamond, Josh Groban, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Tori Kelly, Sarah McLachlan, Dolly Parton, Jordan Smith, The Roots, Anthony Hamilton & The HamilTones, and more. In addition, the Radio City Rockettes will perform a synchronized dance routine. Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon will also be on hand to help light the tree.

Now in its 84th year, the lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center is a tradition dating back to 1933 and symbolizes the beginning of the holiday season. This year’s massive Christmas tree, a 90-year-old Norway Spruce, stands at 94-feet high and 56-feet wide. The 14-ton tree will be decked out with 50,000 colored lights, all of which are energy-efficient and eco-friendly, and it will remain on display until early January.
