Chris Weaver Voice Knockouts Video

Chris Weaver and Katrina Rose were featured on “The Voice” on Tuesday as one of the last Knockout face-offs of season 13. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, Weaver was actually the first artist to audition for “The Voice” this season, as seen on the premiere in September. He scored a four-chair turn with his performance of “Try A Little Tenderness.” He quickly bonded with Jennifer Hudson, whom he had once performed for before, and became the first member of Team J-Hud. Weaver then had to sing “Dangerous Woman” as a duet with team mate Kathrina Feigh for the Battles. He won the round, while she was stolen by Blake Shelton. Rose ended up on Hudson’s team after the opposite happened. She started out with Miley Cyrus as her coach, but lost her Battle to Janice Freeman. She would’ve been eliminated from the NBC competition had Hudson not stepped up and saved her.

Now Weaver and Rose had to take the stage again, this time competing against each other while knowing only one of them would get to stick around in the end. Weaver opted to belt “I Put A Spell On You” for his performance, while Rose went with “Zombie” by The Cranberries. They were able to observe each other’s rehearsal sessions, where key advisor Kelly Clarkson told Weaver he doesn’t have to “go powerful all the time” and can instead show deeper and softer bottom notes. Meanwhile, the “American Idol” winner gushed that Rose has the “biggest voice,” though she was reminded to keep her energy “intimate” and show a vulnerability in her voice.

Weaver actually received a standing ovation following his performance, which Rose had to follow. Cyrus called it the “perfect Knockout pairing” and said how “proud” she was of her former artist. But, she said, “I think it would be hard for J-Hud productions to stay away from Chris Weaver.” Levine seemed to lean towards Weaver, too, while Shelton disagreed and favored Rose. Hudson ultimately decided to stick with her original artist, Weaver, and named him the victor. Now Rose’s journey on the show really was over and, understandably, she couldn’t help but cry.
