Chris Soules Statement

(Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office)

Chris Soules is “devastated” after killing a 66-year-old farmer named Kenny Mosher in a fatal accident on Monday. See statement below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Soules was arrested early Tuesday, hours after he allegedly rear-ended Mosher on an Iowa street. Soules’ truck sent Mosher and his tractor into a ditch, and the farmer died of his injuries. The former “Bachelor” star is accused of fleeing the scene, but was identified as the truck driver by eyewitnesses.

After being found at his home, Soules was booked for leaving the scene of an accident that caused a death, and was arraigned Tuesday morning. After he posted $10,000 bond, he was released from custody. A statement was then furnished to Gossip Cop by the reality star’s spokesperson.

It says, “Chris Soules was involved in an accident Monday evening (April 24) in a rural part of Iowa near his home. He was devastated to learn that Kenneth Mosher, the other person in the accident, passed away. His thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mosher’s family.”

Soules has retained two attorneys to represent him. The investigation is ongoing, and it’s possible the one-time “Dancing with the Stars” contestant will face additional charges related to Mosher’s death. Soules was previously arrested for DUI in 2005, and has been fined for speeding on multiple occasions. While police have not commented on any contributing factors to this crash, alcohol containers were allegedly found in his truck. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates as appropriate.
