One of this week’s tabloids published an article claiming Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger‘s wedding is “in crisis.” The unreliable outlet obviously went to print before June 8, which is when the happy couple tied the knot in Montecito, California. Gossip Cop can expose the magazine’s poorly-timed article.
The latest edition of OK!, which hit newsstands on Wednesday, says Pratt and Schwarzenegger “have called off their engagement” because both realize “they aren’t ready” to walk down the aisle. An alleged insider tells the publication that the couple “began butting heads” as their wedding drew closer, and the author noticed that her fiance was “acting noncommittal.” The supposed source adds, “He was spending more time with his friends and dressing sloppily, even for her family get-togethers.”
The unnamed tipster goes on to say that Schwarzenegger asked the actor if he was getting cold feet, and “he said he wasn’t, but she didn’t buy it. She figured the best thing was to take a step back, and he agreed.” The anonymous source further contends that the author was “brokenhearted by the decision,” but she was getting support from her famous family, including her parents Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, who were supposedly “crushed” by the news.
It would appear the magazine didn’t want to recall this week’s edition after it hit the printing press, which would have happened sometime before last Saturday. The outlet’s bogus story hit newsstands four days after Pratt and Schwarzenegger exchanged vows in front of close friends and family, including her parents, who must not be so “crushed” after all. The tabloids often get caught making up stories thanks to the passage of time, but this is one of the quickest examples in recent memory.
Of course, we’re not surprised by the outlet’s phony report. Last December, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Pratt and Schwarzenegger were already engaged and expecting a baby. The couple didn’t get engaged until earlier this year and the author still isn’t pregnant.
Last October, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for wrongly reporting Pratt was getting back together with Anna Faris. The ex-spouses finalized their divorce shortly after we debunked the article. And right before that, the publication alleged Pratt was only dating Schwarzenegger to get “revenge” on Faris. In reality, the two have remained on good terms, and considering the actor just made Schwarzenegger his wife, it’s clear he wasn’t using her as a pawn for “revenge.” The tabloid is simply clueless about the newlyweds.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
