Are Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger fighting over having kids and how much money she’s spending? That’s the false claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we’ve learned the truth.
According to the National Enquirer, the newlyweds aren’t on the same page when it comes to starting a family. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “There’s a lot of tension because Chris wants Katherine to be a stay-at-home wife and mom, and she feels she has a lot to achieve. The way she sees it, she’s only 29 and there’s plenty of time.”
The supposed source further contends that the lifestyle author wants her husband to slow down and enjoy life for a bit, but he’s also clashing with her over her spending. “She likes to shop, and she’s been redecorating the house,” adds the suspicious tipster. “But he has a fit every time he sees something new and expensive. They’re clearly having a very tough time adjusting.”
None of this is remotely accurate. In fact, Pratt and Schwarzenegger were spotted kissing on Tuesday night while waiting for their car at a valet station during a date night in Malibu. This week alone, the happy couple was spotted enjoying a day at the beach and attending a yoga class. It’s clear the newlyweds are very happy together and aren’t at odds over the future of their marriage.
Just a few weeks ago, Pratt gushed about being in the “honeymoon phase” with his wife, further noting that the two are “very blessed and very, very happy.” Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the couple, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but assures us the tabloid’s report is completely untrue.
It should be noted, the Enquirer has already proven to have little insight into the couple’s relationship. Back in April, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for wrongly reporting that Garth Brooks would be singing at Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s wedding. The story was invented simply because the actor joined the country musician on stage for a surprise performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. Brooks wasn’t in attendance at Pratt’s wedding, let alone did he perform at the ceremony.
In June, the tabloid’s sister publication, OK!, falsely claimed Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s wedding was “in crisis.” The ridiculously wrong report hit newsstands a few days after the couple tied the knot in Montecito, California. This latest article about the spouses is similarly bogus.
Our Verdict
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
