Is Chris Pratt annoying Katherine Schwarzenegger because he’s such a big fan of her dad Arnold and won’t stop asking questions about him? That’s the ridiculous story in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop has learned it’s totally made-up.
According to OK!, Pratt is enamored with his wife’s dad to the point where she’s seriously disturbed by it. A supposed source tells the magazine, “Chris is usually very talkative, but he gets tongue-tied around his father-in-law. He’s idolized him since he was a kid.” The alleged source goes on to say that Arnold “gets a kick out of how much Chris looks up to him,” but Katherine doesn’t find it so amusing.
“[Pratt] gets on Katherine’s nerves because he peppers her with questions about her dad,” adds the seemingly phony tipster. “She tells him to just go ask Arnold himself, but he can’t muster up the courage. To her, Arnold is just her father, so she’s trying to help Chris grow out of this awkward phase – she finds it embarrassing!”
The unreliable outlet doesn’t bother to elaborate on what kinds of questions Pratt has been asking. What exactly does he want to know about Arnold? Secrets from his personal life? Stories from the set of his movies? It’s unclear, and that’s because the magazine doesn’t flesh out the phony premise it created. It’s always a red flag when a publication keeps a story vague and fails to provide specific details.
Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but tells us the tabloid’s article is totally fabricated. Pratt certainly admires his wife’s famous father and his iconic career, but the idea that he constantly bombards her with questions about the Terminator star simply isn’t true.
Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time the tabloid has dragged Katherine’s dad into her relationship. Back in January, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Arnold wasn’t happy about Pratt dating his daughter, but the Jurassic World star eventually manage to win him over. In reality, Arnold has always liked the younger movie star and has made that very clear in various interviews.
Gossip Cop would be remiss not to mention that OK! is the same tabloid that published a story about Pratt’s wedding being “in crisis” several days after he and Katherine got married. The magazine had no clue what was going on leading up to the couple tying the knot, and it certainly has no more insight into their marriage.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
