Chris Pratt and John Krasinski are encouraging fans to do the “Murph Challenge” on Memorial Day, in honor of the late Michael Patrick “Murph” Murphy, a Navy SEAL, who died in 2005. Watch the videos below.

Murphy was killed in Afghanistan, and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. While a number of buildings have been named in his memory, CrossFit helped popularize the “Murph Challenge,” a workout inspired by the service member. It’s become tradition to participate in the challenge on Memorial Day, and Pratt has taken part during the last few years.

This time around, he was joined by Krasinski. In a video posted to Facebook, both men are breathing heavily after completing the task. “We happened to both be out here in the UK celebrating Memorial Day,” Pratt says. “We just knocked out a Memorial Day ‘Murph.’ If you don’t know what that is, check it out online. Michael Murphy was a Navy SEAL, one of the many in uniform who gave his life for our country, and on a day like today where we just commemorate all those fallen heroes, and we say thanks for all you do to make our dreams come true.”

And in a different video shared on Twitter, Krasinski says, “Today is Memorial Day. In order to commemorate, we just did the ‘Murph Challenge.’ The ‘Murph Challenge’ is a physical fitness challenge you can do. It’s a one-mile run. It is a hundred pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats and then another mile run.” Pratt encouraged in the clip, “Pick up a shirt and learn about Mike Murphy. He’s just one of the many brave men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country that we think about and honor today.”

Added Kraskinsi, “So today, whether you do a ‘Murph Challenge’ or just take some time to say thank you and remember, remember that’s what today’s all about.” Check out the videos below.
