The tabloids frequently throw Chris Pratt into fake feuds with other celebrities. Gossip Cop has debunked many of the actor’s nonexistent battles with other stars. Here are a few wrong rumors on the subject.
In February, shortly after the news of the actor’s engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger, Gossip Cop busted NW for falsely claiming Pratt was feuding with her father Arnold. The magazine alleged that the Terminator star hated Pratt and didn’t want him marrying into his family because “there’s never been a movie star in the family bigger than him.” In reality, Arnold praised the Guardians of the Galaxy star following the engagement news, telling “Extra,” “They both are so happy. As I said to him, he’s such a likable guy. I love Chris. He’s fantastic.” As time has proven, Arnold happily attended his daughter’s wedding to the actor earlier this month.
Gossip Cop also called out RadarOnline in February for wrongly reporting that Pratt was feuding with ex-wife Anna Faris following the news of his engagement to Schwarzenegger. According to the blog, the actress wasn’t happy about her ex-husband getting engaged after only seven months of dating the author. However, Faris actually congratulated her ex and his then-fiancee on Instagram after the engagement news broke. The actress later said on her podcast, “Anna Faris Is Unqualified,” “I love her, and I love him, and I’m just so happy that they found each other.” Faris also made a point of noting that “there isn’t any bitterness” between her and Pratt.
In 2017, Gossip Cop debunked a phony Star story about Pratt snubbing Justin Bieber’s attempts to become his friend. Both stars are members of Hillsong Church, and an anonymous source told the magazine that Bieber was “trying so hard to get Chris to like him,” but the actor wanted nothing to do with the singer, who “just isn’t his cup of tea.” Pratt’s spokesperson told us on the record that the premise was “completely inaccurate.” The outlet concocted its baseless article simply because both the actor and the musician attend the same church.
And in 2016, Gossip Cop busted the Morning Ledger for wrongly reporting that the release date of the Jurassic World sequel had been delayed over a supposed feud between Pratt and co-star Bryce Dallas Howard. Not only did the actor’s rep tell us the story was nonsense, but Howard herself later shot down the rumor on Twitter. After a fan asked about claim that she was fighting with her co-star, the actress wrote, “That rumor is so not true!!! I worship Chris! We’re shooting next year and counting the days!!!” Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was released in 2018 as scheduled, while Pratt and Howard remain friends.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
