A tabloid claims Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, is furious because she believes he's putting his movie career before their marriage. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk this inaccurate narrative.
"Chris & Elsa: Nearing Endgame" reads a headline in the latest issue of Life & Style. The accompanying article says Pataky is upset because her husband promised he'd be taking a break from show business to spend more time at home, but he recently signed on for several new projects, including another Thor sequel. "She can't believe Chris has gone back on his word," a supposed source tells the outlet.
The alleged insider further contends that Pataky is accusing Hemsworth of "prioritizing movies over their marriage," adding, "Sometimes, it feels like they're leading completely separate lives." The questionable source goes on to say that the actor's three kids "really miss him, too." The suspicious tipster concludes that the spouses have been getting into constant fights over him supposedly "putting fame before their family."
The magazine's dramatic storyline is entirely made-up. In fact, in Sunday Hemsworth and Pataky were spotted enjoying a day out with their kids in Byron Bay, Australia, where they live. The family looked very happy during the outing. Additionally, Hemsworth recently revealed that he'll be shooting Thor: Love and Thunder in his native Australia, so he can be close to home. The actor said in a press conference, "Being able to stay home and put the kids to bed in their own home as opposed to dragging them across the globe to various hotels is hugely important. My wife is certainly happy."
It should be noted, Gossip Cop has debunked variations of this narrative in the past. Last year, we busted Life & Style's sister publication, OK!, for falsely claiming Hemsworth's wife was tired of him putting work before their family. Prior to that, the same outlet maintained Hemsworth and Pataky were having a marriage crisis because he refused to cut back on work and spend time with her and the kids.
There have been so many bogus tabloid stories about Hemsworth and Pataky being headed for a split that Gossip Cop recently dedicated an entire article which broke down the various rumors we've debunked. In reality, the spouses of eight years are going strong. The actor has been able to successfully juggle his career and his family, and his marriage remains intact, despite articles alleging otherwise.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
