Is Chris Hemsworth's wife Elsa Pataky warning him to stay away from Bad Times at the El Royale co-star Dakota Johnson? That's the claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
In an interview for the October 2018 cover of Vogue Australia, Johnson joked that casting Hemsworth in their new movie was a "huge mistake" because his physique is "such a distraction." She added, "His body is outrageous, it's unbelievable, like a crazy, crazy thing to look at, and his shirt's completely unbuttoned. No one on set could pay attention to anything else." Woman's Day makes not of the actress's comments, but doesn't mention that she also added, "It was so shocking, not in a sexual way at all, just, like, scientifically, how is it possible to look like that?"
The tabloid says Pataky is "seething" over Johnson's comments and issued both her husband and his co-star a warning. "Elsa is annoyed, and she's let it be known that Dakota better keep her hands of," an alleged insider tells the magazine. "Chris is a handsome man and Elsa understands a lot of women will be gawking but make no mistake, he's her man and the father of her children."
The outlet's account of the situation is simply absurd. Hemsworth has worked with dozens of leading ladies over the years and many of them have complimented his looks. Charlize Theron, who worked with Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman and its sequel, said in a "Today" show interview, "That boy is pretty." Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson once described Hemsworth as "shockingly handsome." And Olivia Wilde also gushed about Hemsworth while promoting their 2013 movie Rush.
Pataky, who's an actress herself, is well aware of what her husband's job entails. The idea that she's upset about Johnson complimenting Hemsworth's body in a humorous way is ridiculous. Additionally, Johnson is in a serious relationship with Chris Martin. The couple even got matching tattoos earlier this month. Pataky doesn't believe Johnson is out to steal her husband because she made some funny remarks about his impressive physique.
Meanwhile, Hemsworth and Pataky frequently post Instagram photos sharing their love for each other. Just last month, the actress wished her husband a happy birthday, writing, "I love you to death... Let's be kids forever!!" It's clear there's no jealousy over his female co-stars and no problems in the happy couple's marriage. The tabloid's claim otherwise is baseless.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
