Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky have never had marriage problems as the result of other famous women interfering in his life, despite countless tabloid stories alleging otherwise. Gossip Cop has debunked many variations of this phony narrative. Here are five wrong rumors on the topic.
Last month, Gossip Cop busted NW for falsely claiming Pataky was upset about Hemsworth's run-in with ex-girlfriend Isabel Lucas, who he dated from 2005 to 2008 while co-starring together on the Australian TV series "Home and Away." The actor and his ex were photographed having a friendly chat after bumping into each other at a cafe in Australia, and according to the tabloid, Pataky was "furious" over her husband's so-called "flirty display" with Lucas. Only, there was noting remotely "flirty" about the interaction. In fact, photos show the Thor star standing several feet away and even crossing his arms at times while talking to his ex. A source close to the situation assured us the article was total nonsense.
In April, Gossip Cop called out NW for making up a story about Pataky being jealous of Hemsworth's friendship with Avengers: Endgame co-star Brie Larson. The outlet even contended that Pataky believed the actress was trying to steal her husband. A supposed source told the magazine that Hemsworth was "trying to reassure Elsa that there's absolutely nothing going on between him and Brie," but she wasn't convinced. The bogus report was written simply because Larson is among Hemsworth's female co-stars who are currently single. There's nothing remotely romantic about their relationship and the actor's wife never believed that was the case.
Last September, Gossip Cop debunked a Woman's Day story about Pataky warning Hemsworth to stay away from Dakota Johnson, his co-star in Bad Times at the El Royale. The article came on the heels of a Vogue interview in which Johnson complimented the actor's physique. The actress, however, did so in a humorous way, saying Hemsworth's toned body was "distracting," but "not in a sexual way at all, just, like, scientifically, how is it possible to look like that?" The tabloid maintained that Pataky was "seething" over the interview and "let it be known that Dakota better keep her hands off." The magazine didn't bother to mention that Johnson was in a relationship with Chris Martin at the time. Regardless, Pataky didn't get upset because the actress made some funny remarks about her husband's impressive figure.
Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline last year for falsely alleging Angelina Jolie had a "secret plan to woo" Hemsworth away from his wife. The blog came up with the premise simply because the two stars were randomly seated next to each other at the Golden Globes. Around the same time, People magazine noted that Jolie wasn't interested in dating and was entirely focused on work and raising her kids. That remains the case. The actress certainly never had any intention of breaking up Hemsworth's marriage.
And finally, Gossip Cop called out the Daily Mail in 2017 for baselessly claiming Pataky was upset about Hemsworth complimenting Charlize Theron in an interview. The actor had simply stated that he believed his Snow White and The Huntsman co-star would make a good James Bond, but according to the outlet, Pataky found it "disrespectful" of her husband to be talking fondly about another woman. Hemsworth simply praised Theron's acting abilities and said she'd be good for a movie role. The idea that Pataky would find this "disrespectful" didn't make much sense. There was no truth to the narrative. As time has proven, Hemsworth and Pataky are going strong and no other woman has come between them.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
