A tabloid claims Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, is jealous of his friendship with Avengers: Endgame co-star Brie Larson and believes the actress may try to steal him. The story is completely ridiculous. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to NW, Hemsworth and Larson developed a flirty friendship after filming scenes as Thor and Captain Marvel, and his wife isn't happy about it. A supposed source tells the magazine that Pataky is threatened by the fellow actress because she's "stunning, smart and hilarious" and "exactly the kind of girl that Chris would go for if he was single."
The alleged insider further contends that Pataky, who lives with her husband and their kids in Australia, gets nervous "whenever Chris is traveling the world for these blockbusters" as she doesn't want him getting close to his female co-stars. The questionable tipster goes on to say that Hemsworth has been "trying to reassure Elsa that there's absolutely nothing going on between him and Brie," but she's not convinced.
The so-called "source" also maintains that Pataky kept giving Larson dirty looks at the red carpet premiere of Avengers: Endgame in Los Angeles last week. According to the unreliable outlet, this was the actress's way of telling the Captain Marvel star "to back off" her husband. There are no red carpet photos to back up this claim. In fact, Hemsworth and Pataky were all smiles at the event.
Still, the seemingly phony insider adds, "But it's only natural that Elsa might get jealous from time to time. The pressures that have come with this movie haven't been easy on them. Elsa will probably be relieved when he can put Avengers behind him for good."
This bogus story seems to have been written simply because Larson is among Hemsworth's female co-stars who's currently single. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who laughed off the tabloid's phony storyline. We're assured that Pataky isn't concerned about her husband's friendship with his co-star, nor does she believe there's any secret romance between the two.
NW is simply attempting to create a fake Avengers love triangle and it's not the magazine's first attempt at doing so. Last month, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for making up a story about Chris Evans and Michael B. Jordan competing to date Larson. There was no truth to the narrative, which was concocted because all three stars are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Around this same time last year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Hemsworth didn't invite Pataky to the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War because they were having marriage problems. The real reason the actress didn't attend the premiere was because she was working on a TV show in Australia. The happy spouses are still very much together and Pataky was by her husband's side at the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. This new premise about Larson coming between them is more nonsense.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
