As Gossip Cop reported, Warner Bros. shut down production on the fourth season of the ABC reality spinoff show in June after a producer filed a complaint about alleged sexual activity between two contestants. Corinne, who competed on Nick Viall’s season of “The Bachelor” earlier this year, claimed she was far too drunk to remember her sexual encounter with DeMario, and maintained she did not give consent to him in the swimming pool during filming. She later hired Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer, who noted that she was dealing with “physical and emotional trauma” in the aftermath of the incident.

For DeMario’s part, he insisted Corinne was fully aware and willingly engaged in what took place in the pool. At the time, DeMario publicly stated that he was set to take legal action to counter “false claims and malicious allegations.” Three weeks later, the show resumed filming after an internal investigation carried out by Warner Bros. found no evidence of sexual assault. Neither Corinne nor DeMario, however, returned to the series. Now, after “Bachelor in Paradise” premiered on Monday, Harrison spoke about the scandal on “Good Morning America.”

“Corinne and DeMario had little to do with the entire incident, as far as filing a complaint or allegations against one another,” Harrison shared. “That was what created this frustrating situation. It was someone who wasn’t there and didn’t really see or hear anything that got this ball rolling.” He continued, “There were tears shed. When you have 400 people whose jobs are on the line, people that we bring on the show, there were allegations that [their] safety was put in jeopardy.”

Harrison went on to talk about how it has become more difficult for the current contestants to form relationships in a shorter time frame, having returned to the show after a three week break. “We had a compacted schedule. It’s a little tougher to come up with a happy couple,” he said. “I think you’re going to see that there’s a little more of an organic feel to the show, as the show will continue as we leave paradise. We’re going to see if we end up with an engaged couple during the live finale later on.” Watch the video below!
