Chris Brown is urging fans to protest Donald Trump, but to do so without resorting to violence. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop reported, a massive demonstration in Chicago on Friday led Trump to cancel his planned campaign rally. The protest became a big talking point on social media, and Brown initially took a little bit of the credit. On Instagram, he re-posted a fan’s image of the protestors with the text, “Chris’ Voice/Opinion Is So Powerful.”

The message pointed out, “Yesterday: Chris suggested going to presidential rallies in huge groups. Tonight: Hundreds of people are in the streets of Chicago opposing Trump.” Of course, hundreds of the people who showed up were motivated by factors other than Brown, leading him to comment, “Even if it’s not for me, the message doesn’t change, vote, be aware, be articulate, be heard!!!!!!!!”

Brown also posted a video in which he told fans, “I’m glad to see us as a people are starting to use our voice more. All I can say is just no violence, man, no violence. Go to these rallies, protest, man, vote, speak for what is right. I’m saying it like everyone else, but do the right thing.”

The Instagram posts sparked much debate in the comments’ section, though few seemed to point out that Brown has his own violent past. Check out the video below.
