Are Channing Tatum and Jessie J headed for a split over her so-called "diva ways"? That's the claim in one of this week's tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we've learned the truth.
"Channing & Jessie: On The Rocks!" reads a headline in the latest issue of Star. The accompanying article says the actor and the singer are cooling off after just a few months of dating. A supposed source tells the magazine, "In the beginning everything was great. Jessie was sweet and accommodating, but now he's finding out she's a lot more complicated than he thought."
The alleged insider further contends that the singer has been "extremely needy," calling her boyfriend "at all hours of the night, and she expects him to pick up." The questionable tipster continues, "She's got a lot going on, and sometimes she's short-tempered. It can be an hour of listening to her and what's going on in her life. But then, when he tries to call her, it often goes straight to voicemail or an assistant picks up to take a message."
The magazine's premise is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who wasn't able to speak on the record, but assures us there's not truth to the outlet's article. In fact, Tatum and Jessie J were photographed showing PDA outside of the singer's Los Angeles home on Wednesday. The actor was spotted helping his girlfriend pack her luggage into a limo, before giving her a hug and kiss. The two are clearly still happily together.
It's worth noting, Star has already proven to have zero insight into the couple's relationship. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Tatum and Jessie J were house hunting in London. Both still live separately in Los Angeles. Two months prior, the outlet falsely claimed Tatum was getting back together with estranged wife Jenna Dewan. The actor's romance with Jessie J went public just weeks after the story was published.
Last April, Gossip Cop called out the publication for making up a fake romance between Tatum and Magic Mike co-star Amber Heard. The former co-stars have never dated. When it comes to the actor's personal life, it's clear the outlet's "sources" are either nonexistent or incredibly unreliable. Nearly all of the magazine's phony articles about Tatum have been disproven by the passage of time. The same goes for this latest one about him and Jessie J being headed for a split.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
