President Donald Trump said Tuesday that North Korea will be met with “fire and fury” if the nation continues to threaten the United States. Celebrities are now reacting on Twitter to the president’s extreme warning. See Hollywood stars’ tweets below.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” the president told reporters at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club Tuesday afternoon. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.” Trump went on to say North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “has been very threatening beyond a normal state, and as I said they will be met with fire and fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before.”

The president’s comments come shortly after North Korea threatened to attack the U.S. over new United Nations sanctions aimed at punishing the country for conducting ballistic missile tests. The Washington Post also reported on Tuesday that intelligence officials have concluded North Korea has developed the ability to build a nuclear warhead small enough to fit inside a missile that can reach the U.S.

One celebrity responding to Trump’s strong words of warning to North Korea is John Cusack, who tweeted, “Approval rating at record low – this is predictable authoritarian behavior – apocalyptic tone shows just how desperate & unhinged he is.” Rosie O’Donnell said, “fire and fury – god help us.” Cher cited the president’s quote before adding, “trump Causes FEAR AROUND [the world].” And Josh Groban added, “Or….OR!…..hear me out….we could all not have nukes and everyone can live on this planet together in peace. I dunno, spitballing here.”

Lily Allen mocked Trump’s typical prose by writing, “If you fire and fury us we will firer and furier you even bigly. Sad!” Patton Oswalt wrote, “It’s like he read the 1st page of TO THE WHITE SEA but he doesn’t read so I guess he’s psychotic all on his own holyf*ck.” And Chelsea Handler offered, “I can’t believe we have our very own homegrown Kim Jong Un dealing with the other Kim Jong Un. Please Republicans stand up.”

Bill Maher quipped, “Of all the people you’d want in a nuclear standoff, Trump and Kim – Fat Man and Little Boy, how ironic – wld have to be last. Here’s hoping.” Rachel Dratch said, “I have a pounding trump-threatening-nuclear-war headache. You know, one of those.” And George Takei stated, “Well, that’s terrifying.”

Ben Stiller asked incredulously, “Ok. Seriously. What is happening?” Star Jones tweeted, “We’re in the middle of a nuclear threat with #NorthKorea. Please be POTUS & focus on real threats to Americans in between tweeting.” “This is why you don’t elect a fuc*#ng psychopath TV show host as President of the United States of America,” shared Josh Gad.
