Celebrities are reacting on Twitter to the House of Representatives passing the American Health Care Act on Thursday. The controversial new bill, which aims to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act a.k.a. Obamacare, has many Hollywood stars tweeting their disapproval. See tweets below.

Republicans passed the AHCA, which will cut taxes for wealthy Americans, by a vote of 217 to 213. Many people believe the bill will result in millions of people losing health insurance coverage, and also weaken the benefits of those with pre-existing conditions.

Among the celebrities outraged by the House’s decision is Mark Ruffalo, who tweeted, “Because rich people need tax breaks. Sick.” Rosie Perez said, “Very disappointed. But unfortunately not surprising.” And Gabrielle Union called the bill “shameful,” while Kate Walsh similarly offered, “Sickening & shameful.”

Meanwhile, many stars believe that the Republicans will lose in the 2018 midterm elections due to their vote. Ike Barinholtz said, “Very smart for the Republicans to tie their futures to a bill almost no one likes just to appease the most unpopular president ever.” Alyssa Milano wrote, “In 2018, when it comes time to vote, remember this day and how the American people have been ignored by the @GOP.” And Josh Gad added, “Remember this. Remember when these men decided to make rape & pregnancy preexisting conditions. Remember today. Never forget it. #2018.”

Patton Oswalt tweeted, “The #MAGA C.H.U.D.S. on Twitter right now, cheering the #AHCA being passed. Cattle cheering McDonald’s.” Additionally, both Amy Schumer and Sarah Hyland retweeted a message from Planned Parenthood to “call your Senators to stop the bill.” And Seth Rogen exclaimed, “Don’t get sick!!!” Gossip Cop will update as more celebrities react to the House passing the AHCA.
