On the eve of the anniversary of her passing, the princes visited a memorial garden at Kensington Palace, Princess Diana’s home for 15 years, dedicated to her.

Among those commenting on her legacy is Elton John. The singer, who was a close friend of Princess Di, tweeted, “20 years ago today, the world lost an angel. #RIP #Diana20.” Richard Branson said, “Diana is greatly missed, but she lives on forever through her memorial fund & her wonderful children. Diana made time for everyone. I treasure her thoughtful, handwritten notes & memories of a kind, caring woman.” And Harry Potter star Oliver Phelps tweeted, “Amazing its 20 years since the passing of Princess Di. I met her once when I was 6, we spoke about Thunderbirds. I still remember it #Diana20.”

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan shared, “RIP Princess Diana. The biggest star of them all.” He added, “First time I ever met Princess Diana. ‘Ah,’ she sighed, ‘the man who thinks he knows me SO well.'” William Shatner offered, “Remembering #PrincessDiana,” along with emojis signifying a “candle in the wind,” a reference to Elton John’s tribute song to the late princess. Katie Couric said, “Like so many people around the world, I’m remembering Princess Diana today.” And Paula Abdul also wrote, “Princess Diana was the epitome of compassion, love & kindness.
