It’s Presidents’ Day, an American holiday honoring all of the presidents of the United States. Many celebrities are tweeting about the annual holiday, with a few taking the opportunity to take a swipe at President Donald Trump. See Hollywood stars’ tweets and reactions below!

Presidents’ Day, which is celebrated on the third Monday in February, was originally established in 1885 in recognition of George Washington’s birthday. The holiday is officially known as “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government, but it became popularly known as Presidents’ Day in 1971 to incorporate all of the presidents who’ve served the country.

Kicking off the tweets was President Donald Trump, who exclaimed, “HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY – MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Melissa Joan Hart simply tweeted, “Happy Presidents Day!” Kris Jenner wrote, “Happy #PresidentsDay everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying the long weekend!” And Pitbull offered, “Happy President’s Day #PresidentsDay #USA #Dale.”

Chris Harrison used the opportunity to promote his show and tweeted, “My President’s day gift to you is an all new #TheBachelor tonight!!!” And Maggie Gyllenhaal wrote about a rally in New York City against our current president: “Not My President’s Day rally. 12 pm. 61 st at Central Park West. TODAY. I’ll be there.” Meanwhile, Josh Groban posted a photo of himself holding up a placemat with the photos of the first 44 presidents with the message, “Oh boy oh boy is my presidents placemat getting used today!”

Stan Lee posted a comic book strip of Abraham Lincoln alongside Spider-Man and Captain America, and wrote, “Happy Presidents’ Day!” Along with a photo of a young boy dressed up like George Washington, Ellen DeGeneres added, “I hope your #PresidentsDay is as adorable as Macey.” And Christina Milian expressed, “Happy President’s Day. Who run the world?”

Former president Bill Clinton weighed in on the day, writing, “On #PresidentsDay, reaffirming Lincoln’s words in his 1st Inaugural Address: ‘This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people…'” And as Gossip Cop reported, Alyssa Milano compared Trump’s tweets to the quotes of former presidents.
