Celebrities are sharing their thoughts on World Kindness Day. Begun in 1998 and celebrated every November 13, World Kindness Day shines a light on the positives one can do for others. Some people exchange Kindness Cards that acknowledge one another’s acts of kindness or ask that they in turn do good for others. #WorldKindnessDay trended all day Sunday on Twitter. See what the stars are saying on World Kindness Day.

Ellen DeGeneres tweeted a video highlighting acts of kindness done on her talk show, as well as urged viewers to do something nice for others. Along with the video she wrote, “Happy #WorldKindnessDay. #BeKindToOneAnother.” Anthony Hopkins expressed, “Be kind, everyone is fighting a great big battle. #WorldKindnessDay.” He later tweeted another message, “On #WorldKindnessDay, let us remember, we need less bullying and more kindness,” along with a video for PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. Ricky Gervais simply sent a note that read, “Happy #WorldKindnessDay.”

Yoko Ono quoted the lyrics from her song “Will You Touch Me”: “Nothing in the world can open my heart but your kindness. #WorldKindnessDay.” The TV show “New Girl” offered, “Be the shoulder for someone to lean on. It’s #WorldKindnessDay.” Shay Mitchell suggested, “Remember this today, and everyday… #WorldKindnessDay” And La Toya Jackson felt, “Be the reason someone else #smiles this #SundayMorning! #WorldKindnessDay” Gossip Cop will continue to update as more celebrities offer their thoughts on World Kindness Day.
