Celebrities are slamming United after the airline banned two girls from boarding a flight on Sunday for wearing leggings. See Hollywood stars’ reaction tweets below.

Shannon Watts, founder of the gun control group Moms Demand Action, shared her experience on a recent United flight on social media after a number of female passengers were stopped from boarding a plane because they were wearing leggings. “A @united gate agent isn’t letting girls in leggings get on flight from Denver to Minneapolis because spandex is not allowed?” Watts tweeted. “She’s forcing them to change or put dresses on over leggings or they can’t board. Since when does @united police women’s clothing?”

She continued, “3 girls inspected for wearing perfectly acceptable leggings. 2 not allowed to board. This behavior is sexist and sexualizes young girls. Not to mention that the families were mortified and inconvenienced.” Now, celebrities are reacting to United’s controversial and surprising policy.

Chrissy Teigen wrote, “I have flown united before with literally no pants on. Just a top as a dress. Next time I will wear only jeans and a scarf.” Patricia Arquette tweeted, “Turns out United bans leggings, torn jeans, and shorter shorts for free employee pass tickets. Still, @united should update policy.” Sarah Silverman noted, “Hey @united I fly a LOT. About to go on tour all April and changing all my @united flights to other airlines.”

Seth Rogen cracked, “We here at @united are just trying to police the attire of the daughters of our employees! That’s all! Cool, right?” Andy Richter mocked, “@united I have flown numerous times while displaying an egregious moose knuckle. What’s a male over 10 have to do to get noticed?” And William Shatner said, “I’m going to start wearing leggings! Is that against the rules?” Gossip Cop will continue to update as more celebrities react to United banning female passengers from boarding a flight for wearing leggings.
