Celebrities are reacting on social media to Donald Trump’s healthcare reform platform, dubbed as “Trumpcare,” after House Republicans released the plan to replace Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act on Monday. See Hollywood stars’ reaction tweets below.

As Gossip Cop reported, the Affordable Care Act repeal was started by the Republican-led senate in January. The original legislation, also known as Obamacare, ensured every American citizen had health insurance, but the law has since been overturned. Following the release of the new plan, Trump tweeted, “Our wonderful new Healthcare Bill is now out for review and negotiation. ObamaCare is a complete and total disaster – is imploding fast!”

Now, celebrities are slamming the replacement healthcare plan on Twitter, claiming the new and controversial policies only benefit the small minority with high incomes. Alyssa Milano tweeted, “#Trumpcare benefits people who are healthy and high-income, and disadvantages those who are sicker and lower-income.” Russell Simmons wrote, “The only thing #TrumpCare is about is taking care of his rich friends. This new healthcare bill is a slap in the face to the American people.”

Meanwhile, George Takei similarly expressed, “The ‘replacement’ for the ACA is a mean-spirited, ticking time bomb granting tax breaks to the rich while limiting healthcare for the poor.” “I support our veterans – they deserve the best health care our country has to offer – anything less is criminal,” Rosie O’Donnell offered. Gossip Cop will continue to update as more celebrities react to Trump’s replacement healthcare plan.
