Celebrities are reacting to the Senate healthcare bill. See reaction tweets from Hollywood stars below.

As Gossip Cop reported, House Republicans passed the American Health Care Act in May. Now GOP senators drafted their own version, which was released on Thursday. Many critics have called it worse than what came from Paul Ryan and the Representatives, insisting the legislation would devastate healthcare options for the middle and lower classes while cutting taxes for the wealthy. A few Republican senators, including former presidential candidate Ted Cruz, have already said they won’t support the bill in its current form.

Amid protests on Capitol Hill, number of celebs have taken to Twitter to slam the bill as well. Alyssa Milano‏ tweeted, “Life and death for millions upon millions. #healthcarebill #TrumpCare.” She also wrote, “Tell Your Senators: NO on #Trumpcare!!!” As Gossip Cop previously reported, Milano also excluded Cruz from her virtual “group hug.”

Josh Groban retweeted Senator Cory Booker‏’s message, which said, “Senate @GOP should be ashamed of their #healthcarebill. They turned their back on those who need healthcare the most.” About the people who drafted the bill, Ellen Pompeo noted, “All white all men all wealthy.” George Takei declared, “This bill should never become law.” He further said, “Senate #Trumpcare bill phases out Medicaid kicking millions off their healthcare while cutting taxes for the wealthy. Not just mean, cruel.” Upon seeing a picture of a wheelchair-using protester detained, Patton Oswalt asking, “The f*ck world are we living in?”

After seeing video of another protester carried away, Josh Gad exclaimed, “My god.” John Legend stated, “Trump is a con-man and liar and he will hurt millions with #trumpcare.” Also in regards to the president, Jamie Lee Curtis remarked, “Mr Rump. Being human IS a pre existing condition. YOU are a pre existing condition and you should be ashamed of yourself. #dumptheT.” Maria Shriver told followers, “With the #HealthcareBill draft released, there’s #NoExcuse to not be informed. Weigh in, speak up, speak out. This affects you.” Marcia Cross urged fans to contact their senators, writing, “CALL CALL CALL! CALL THEM OUT ON THEIR GREED BEFORE YOU LOSE YOUR HEALTHCARE.”

“[Mitch] McConnell knows people will die from this. He’s educated. But man that fella wants a tax cut,” tweeted Zach Braff. Julianne Moore and Anna Paquin both posted a call to action for Planned Parenthood, writing, “Senate released #Trumpcare bill that ‘defunds’ @PPFA. TWEET YOUR SENATORS NOW & tell them to #StandwithPP.” Others who shared the plea on their own pages include Barbra Streisand, Kim Kardashian, Mark Ruffalo, and Amy Schumer. Nyle DiMarco commented, “People with disabilities will be hit hardest by the cuts in the #HealthcareBill. And there are 56.7 million PWD. Terrifying.” Along with a photo of one of the bill’s pages, Judd Apatow said, “This should scare anyone on Medicaid. It’s not hard to understand what it means. Read it.”

And Albert Brooks morbidly cracked, “Senate finally unveils health care bill. Three people drop dead just reading it.” Hillary Clinton, who supported Barack Obamas Affordable Care Act, told followers, “If you’re waiting for the right moment to call your Senator about Trumpcare, the moment is now. Don’t wait until it’s too late. 202-224-3121.” Obama himself posted, “Health care has always been about something bigger than politics: it’s about the character of our country.” He also tweeted a link to a lengthy statement he shared on Facebook about the Senate proposal. Meanwhile, President Trump tweeted, “I am very supportive of the Senate #HealthcareBill. Look forward to making it really special! Remember, ObamaCare is dead.”
