White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer gave the first official press conference of President Donald Trump’s administration on Monday. Celebrities are now reacting on Twitter to the briefing. See stars’ tweets below.

On Saturday, Spicer read a statement from the briefing room, but he didn’t take any questions afterwards. He accused members of the media of falsely reporting the number of attendees at Trump’s inauguration, claiming some outlets had “intentionally framed” photos “to minimize the enormous support that had gathered on the National Mall.” Spicer also insisted that Friday’s gathering was “the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration,” but those numbers have yet to be confirmed.

On Monday, Spicer allowed members of the press to ask him questions, one of which was, “Is it your intention to always tell the truth?” The spokesperson responded, “It is… I believe we have to be honest with the American people. I believe sometimes we can disagree with the facts but our intention is never to lie.” He added, “There are certain things that we may not fully understand when we come out but our intention is never to lie to you.”

Chelsea Handler, however, is one of the many celebrities weary of Spicer’s promise to “always tell the truth.” The comedienne tweeted, “Sean Spicer is telling about as much truth at these WH press briefings as I am when my doctor asks me how many drinks I have per week.” Sarah Silverman offered, “At the end of every press conference the last question should be “Do u swear to God that everything u said today is the truth?”

Chrissy Teigen said, “I do not physically have the energy for this presidency to lie every single f*cking day. Please. Just bring it down to every other day.” And in response to Spicer’s assertion that Trump’s administration “can disagree with the facts,” Don Cheadle simply stated, “I mean…”

Meanwhile, Josh Groban posted a number of tweets, the first saying, “Spicer sounds like an over caffeinated android. He doesn’t connect when he reads he just spouts.” The singer added, “Slow down! It’s like you can’t wait for question time and we know that ain’t true.” But Groban eventually acknowledged, “Agree with him or not, Spicer is starting to find his groove and tone at least. Maybe it was nerves.” Gossip Cop will update as more celebrities react to Spicer’s press conference.
