Celebrities are reacting to Mike Pence using AOL email while he was governor of Indiana. See reaction tweets from Hollywood stars below.

On Thursday night, the IndyStar reported that Pence used a personal AOL email account to discuss governmental matters. That email address was subsequently hacked. Many are now drawing comparisons to Hillary Clinton, who was criticized and investigated for using a private email server while she was Secretary of State. The new vice president was among those who cheered that investigation.

“Oh the irony,” tweeted Jane Lynch. George Takei wrote, “Surprise, surprise, Pence used a personal AOL account to send sensitive Homeland Security emails while governor of IN — and got hacked.” Ewan McGregor commented, I’m remembering you all chanting ‘lock her up.'” And Patton Oswalt exclaimed, “OOOOOOOOOOOOPS.”

Debra Messing simply said, “Ehhhem. Yeah.” Referring to a refrain that plagued Clinton’s run for president, “House of Cards” creator Beau Willimon posted, “But the emails!” He went on to say, “And this guy was supposed to be their back-up one Trump got booted.” Chelsea Handler also joked, “Pence used a private email as IN Gov and was hacked. Fortunately, the only sensitive info on there was his Grindr account.”

Meanwhile, Judd Apatow retweeted an October tweet from Pence himself, in which he wrote, “.@realDonaldTrump and I commend the FBI for reopening an investigation into Clinton’s personal email server because no one is above the law.” In a statement in response to the new report, Pence’s office said he “fully complied with Indiana law regarding email use and retention.”
