Celebrities are reacting to former president George H. W. Bush being hospitalized on Saturday for breathing difficulties. At first, the 92-year-old ex commander-in-chief was expected to spend just a few days in Houston Methodist Hospital, but now it remains unclear as his conditioned has changed. Now stars are sharing their reactions on Twitter.

Bush’s spokesperson, Jim McGrath, at first tweeted that the former president had “responded very well to treatments. Hope to have him out soon.” But his conditioned has seemingly worsened, resulting in Bush being moved into the intensive care unit, intubated and even sedated. Additionally, his wife Barbara was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday for “extreme fatigue and coughing.” The oldest living president was not expected to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington on Friday due to other health concerns.

Josh Gad tweeted, “Thoughts and prayers with Pres George H. W. Bush and his family. Hope it’s not serious.” Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote, “Prayers and healing for George H. W. Bush and his family from London.” Andy Cohen stated, “Sending prayers to Barbara and George Bush. A couple with a lot of class and decency.” And George Takei expressed, “Wishing President George H.W. Bush a speedy recovery.”

Former president Bill Clinton shared, “41 and Barbara—thinking about you both and sending wishes for a speedy recovery. Love, 42.” Hillary Clinton retweeted the message, adding, “Indeed. Bill & I have you in our thoughts & look forward to you both being back on your feet soon, wild socks & all. -H.” Vice president-elect Mike Pence said, “Keeping @GeorgeHWBush in our thoughts and prayers this morning. God bless and get well soon!” President-elect Donald Trump wrote, “Looking forward to a speedy recovery for George and Barbara Bush, both hospitalized. Thank you for your wonderful letter!”

“Wishing both President Bush and ‘Bar’ a speedy recovery and keeping them in my prayers,” added Katie Couric. Larry King posted, “.@shawnieora and I send our love and prayers for a speedy recovery to our dear friends former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara.” And Shaun Cassidy offered, “Sending good thoughts to George H. W. Bush.”
