Celebrities are reacting on Twitter after a gunman opened fire at a Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic on Friday.

The hours-long incident began in the afternoon, with reports of an active shooter at or near the facility. Within hours, four police officers had been injured. Following a standoff, the alleged gunman was captured by authorities after night fell. At that point, a total of five cops had been transported to local hospitals, plus another six civilians. UPDATE: It’s now being reported at least three of the injured, including an officer, have died.

As the saga unfolded, a number of stars tweeted reactions to the disturbing events. Chrissy Teigen was one of the first to comment, writing, “Every time sh*t like this happens, john and I immediately make another donation to planned parenthood.” And while the motive of the shooter has yet to be confirmed, Samantha Ronson posted, “I’m confused. They call a woman’s right to choose ‘murder’ and in defense of these ‘victims’ open fire? #IStandWithPP.”

Kathy Griffin exchanged a number of intense tweets with Twitter users, including one who wrote her, “No1 killed @ #PlannedParenthood xcept babies. Move on.” The comedienne replied, “Wow, u don’t care about police officers shot?” She also gave an “amen” in response to Teigen’s tweet. Meanwhile, Holly Robinson Peete expressed, “Ugh. Another day another shooting. Prayers for those hiding right now in fear for their lives. #ihategunviolence.”

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton simply retweeted a statement from the president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains and wrote, “Today and every day, we #StandWithPP.” Talib Kweli also retweeted a number of messages, including one that read, “The Planned Parenthood attack was an act of terrorism.” Indeed, many people on Twitter were calling the incident a form of domestic terrorism.

At the same time, D.L. Hughley remarked, “The shooter at planned parenthood n Colorado Springs shot 3 cops! I wonder if they’ll call him a terrorist like they do #BlackLivesMatter.” And John Legend retweeted a writer and political analyst who commented, “Shooter should face justice but man it’s like a punch in the gut to think about black lives lost for crimes like: loose cigarettes [and] walking.”

After the deaths were reported, Marlee Matlin tweeted, “Once again, sending prayers and thoughts to those affected by senseless violence; this time to Colorado Springs. #EndViolence.” Gossip Cop will have updates should more celebrities comment.
