As Hurricane Harvey continues to hit Texas with catastrophic flooding, many celebrities are participating in relief efforts to help the thousands of residents who’ve been stranded. See the Hollywood stars who’ve both donated and urged their fans to do so.

Hurricane Harvey is expected to impact the southeast coast of Texas for several more days, but recovery from the storm could take several more years. One celebrity talking about his personal donation on social media is Kevin Hart, who also challenged many of his Hollywood friends to match his $25,000 pledge to the Red Cross. “This is a serious matter,” the comedian said in a heartfelt Instagram video. “People are in bad shape and need help.” Hart then called on Dwayne Johnson, Chris Rock, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Justin Timberlake and Steve Harvey to donate.

Ashley Greene also revealed her personal contribution, saying, “After researching options, I’ve made donations to @SavetheChildren & @JJWatt Foundation relief efforts.” The latter fundraiser was founded by J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans, who also posted a Twitter video asking fans to help. Additionally, country singer Chris Young revealed he’s donating $100,000 to relief efforts, while Chelsea Clinton offered, “Have donated to @TeamRubicon, @RedCross & Texas Diaper Bank.”

Meanwhile, Lin-Manuel Miranda implored his followers to donate to Baker-Ripley, a Houston-based organization that will use donations to help rebuild damaged properties. Among the stars asking their followers to donate to the Red Cross and also sharing messages on Twitter include Zac Efron, who said, Sending love to Texas.” Paula Abdul wrote, “Keep everyone in TX in your thoughts &prayers!” And Marlee Matlin stated, “Please help.”

Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, “The people of Texas need our help and our kindness.” Chris Harrison noted, “Hearing horrendous stories from friends and family down in Houston.” Ike Barinholtz said, “What’s happening in Texas is a nightmare. Please take a minute and donate to one of the agencies that are on the ground helping.” Jaimie Alexander urged, “Please, if you can afford it, help the people of Houston.” And Arnold Schwarzenegger conveyed, “My thoughts are with the great people of Houston.”

Additional stars who retweeted links to the Red Cross website included Chelsea Handler, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Gad, Leah Remini, Taran Killam, Patricia Heaton, Rosie O’Donnell, Jason Ritter, George Takei, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ken Jeong, Peter Fonda and Paris Hilton.
