Casper Smart did NOT try to win back Jennifer Lopez by sending flowers he charged to her bank account, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”

As Gossip Cop reported, Lopez and Smart split in August for the second time in their five-year relationship. And now according to In Touch, the dancer/choreographer recently sent his ex two dozen pink roses in an effort to reconcile. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “He called Jennifer’s L.A. florist and placed the order, but he charged it to Jennifer’s personal account.”

The magazine’s dubious insider claims Lopez’s business manager then called Smart, “demanding that he call the florist back and pay the $525 bill himself.” As the tale goes, Smart supposedly refused and was soon “informed that he no longer has access to any of Jennifer’s accounts.”

Despite how seemingly fabricated this story sounds, Gossip Cop still checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us no such incident ever occurred. Despite the tabloid’s baseless attempt to paint the dancer as a cheap gold-digger, we’re told the claim about him trying to send Lopez flowers charged to her is simply “false” and “so stupid.”

Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the outlet’s fake report. Shortly before the ex-couple broke up, Gossip Cop busted In Touch’s sister publication, Life & Style, for its false cover story alleging Lopez was pregnant with Smart’s baby. Obviously, that wasn’t the case, and this latest story about the on-and-off pair is equally untrue.
