Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are NOT in a “raging marriage crisis,” despite a story from this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can debunk the report, on their anniversary of all days.

According to the National Enquirer, Underwood and Fisher are clashing over whether to expand their family, and the hockey player is supposedly “ready to walk out if she won’t have more kids!” The magazine quotes an “insider” as saying, “Early in their marriage, Carrie agreed with Mike that she wanted a large family. But now she’s backtracking, and Mike’s furious!”

The supermarket tabloid goes on to claim Underwood has “chosen showbiz over having more kids,” even though Fisher “believed Carrie was on board for a quick second pregnancy.” The Enquirer even alleges the only reason Fisher signed with the Nashville Predators last month was because it was a “bargain” deal he made with Underwood, where they would keep the growing family “settled.” But now, claims the outlet’s so-called “insider,” “Something’s got to give, or Carrie’s going to be singing about her broken marriage!”

Perhaps instead of printing unnatural and obviously fake quotes, the Enquirer should focus on “giving” the facts. Fisher was happily by Underwood’s side last month at the CMT Awards (that’s right, something for her career), where she was the night’s big winner (see photo above). And on Thursday, Underwood showed off one of their romance rituals on Instagram, posting a picture of herself and Fisher exercising.

“The couple that slays together…stays together! Working out is always better with a partner! #StayThePath,” wrote Underwood. In other words, there is NO “marriage crisis.” The only thing in “crisis” here should be the Enquirer, for once again leading readers astray.

Underwood and Fisher are actually celebrating their fifth anniversary on Friday, just two days after this nonsense hit newsstands. Gossip Cop would like to take a moment to wish Underwood and Fisher many more happy years to come.
