Cardi B was kicked out of a hotel in Albany, New York on Sunday morning when other guests complained about the noise and smell of weed coming from her room, Gossip Cop has learned. When she was asked to leave the premises, the rapper accused hotel staff and security of racism.

Cardi B, who performed at the Times Union Center on Saturday night, was staying at the Hilton Albany. At around 1 a.m., other hotel guests started to complain about the loud noise coming from the rapper’s room, prompting hotel security to look into the situation. The star was later confronted by staff, before being ordered to leave the hotel. In a video posted by TMZ, a woman can be heard calling a member of the Hilton’s staff a “racist [expletive].” A seemingly enraged Cardi B is then seen storming out of the hotel with her entourage and an unidentified male, who attempts to calm her down.

In the hours after she was thrown out of the Hilton Albany, the rapper took to social media to explain what happened. She said in a lengthy Instagram video, “Albany is known for being racist. Cops came in the middle of the night, knocking on my manager’s door, knocking on my door, talking about us smoking weed and that we’ve gotta get kicked out.” Cardi B continued, “If I was guilty of smoking weed, I wouldn’t even have made the show I did yesterday.” She further asserted, “Everybody knows that I do not smoke weed.”

A staffer, who wished not to be identified, confirmed there were complaints about noise coming from her room from other guests at the Hilton hotel in Albany. Gossip Cop has also reached out to Hilton’s corporate media relations department for an official comment. Watch the videos below. NOTE: The Instagram videos have since been removed.
