Caitlyn Jenner is not marrying Sophia Hutchins, despite new report. Gossip Cop can bust the untrue story. While their friendship may be evolving, they have no plans to wed at this time.
The marriage allegations are coming from Heat, which quotes a so-called "source" as saying, "Cait really sees herself spending the rest of her life with Sophia." The tabloid alleges Jenner has been leaning on Hutchins during her estrangement from the Kardashians, and now their "bond has turned to romance" and quickly progressed. The former Olympian is described as a "complete outcast" from both her family and the LGBT community, which is where Hutchins, who is also transgender, supposedly comes in.
"She just wants some companionship and really felt all alone before she met Sophia," claims the gossip magazine's alleged snitch. The outlet claims they've started dating in "recent weeks" and now want to make it "official and get married." The publication contends the pair are "planning an intimate [wedding ceremony] near Caitlyn's Malibu home." According to the purported tipster, Jenner and Hutchins want a "very tasteful and elegant affair, with a spiritual guru to officiate."
Jenner was previously married to Chrystie Scott, Linda Thompson and, most famously, Kris Jenner, from whom she split in 2013. Their divorce was finalized in 2015, and the "I Am Cait" star has been single since then. As recently as last month, a rep told Gossip Cop on the record that Jenner and Hutchins haven't been dating, despite persistent rumors of a relationship. The spokesperson referred to the duo as "friends and business associates."
That said, something may now be blossoming between the two, though Jenner's rep tells Gossip Cop there's "no marriage that I'm aware of" in the works. Jenner and Hutchins are regularly seen out together, and the latter spends a lot of time at the former athlete's home. So their exact dynamic seems a bit murky right now.
The Mirror has picked up the wedding allegations and is running them online. But it's worth nothing that earlier this year, Jenner indicated she's not looking to find love again. "I don't think I would ever, no. I don't see it in my future," she told Piers Morgan in an interview. Should something change, Gossip Cop will update.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
