Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins are not involved with a "top secret adoption," despite a new story about a purported "baby bombshell." Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this report. It comes from the same site that was similarly wrong about Jenner adopting one year ago.
We're talking about RadarOnline, which has repeatedly claimed, albeit falsely, that Jenner is expanding her family. The untrue narratives typically focus on surrogacy or adoption, and on Thursday, the website offered up another bogus adoption angle. According to this latest article, Hutchins is "begging the transgender star to adopt a baby together."
"Jenner's always wanted to be a mother, and now, that's a real possibility," a so-called "source" is quoted as saying. Suspiciously, this supposed snitch goes from referring to the former Olympian as "Jenner" to "Cait" in the next sentence, contending, "Sophia loves children and has been giving Cait little hints that she's interested in a baby." It's alleged that Jenner is "considering it."
The "I Am Cait" star, who has six biological children, is described as "gung-ho," and already vowing to raise the child "completely different" than how daughters Kendall and Kylie have been raised. "Cait's made it clear to Sophia she doesn't want the baby to have anything to do with television," claims the outlet's questionable tipster, who further asserts, "Fame has destroyed Cait's relationship with her grown children and she's not letting that happen again if she and Sophia adopt."
Tellingly, it's not said just where Jenner and Hutchins supposedly are in the process, whether they want to adopt an American child or someone from another country, and whether they'd want to welcome a child from birth or at a little older age. It's also significant that the blog makes no mention of its report from May 2017, in which it was alleged Jenner had "jump-started" plans to adopt a child.
Gossip Cop debunked that story more than 12 months ago, and time has proven our reporting was correct: Jenner never adopted. Now this new story brings up adoption as a "possibility" with no acknowledgment of the prior wrong article. And just as a spokesperson for Jenner rightly told us a year ago that it was "not true" she was adopting, we're similarly assured now that this tale about adopting with Hutchins is "false."
This appears to be just another instance of RadarOnline purporting to know about plans the former athlete doesn't actually have. For example, last November the website maintained Jenner was moving to Idaho with Hutchins, and was going to film a reality show there with her mom. Of course, that never happened, just as Gossip Cop said it wouldn't. She still lives in Malibu, and Jenner is regularly photographed on coffee runs and other outings.
It also be noted that when Jenner explained earlier this year that she wasn't focused on her love life, she specifically said, "Life is very busy. I've had three marriages, ten children, I've got twelve or thirteen grandchildren." She said nothing about adding another child to her already large family, and it seems she would be too "busy" to do so anyway.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
