Caitlyn Jenner and Sophia Hutchins aren't planning on adopting a baby together. It's just a nonsensical rumor about the duo. Gossip Cop found it untrue.
OK! claims the former Olympian is scrambling to satisfy Hutchins' "serious case of baby fever." According to the tabloid, Jenner is willing to start the process of expanding her family if it means keeping Hutchins around. "Caitlyn knew this day would come and tried putting it off as long as she could, but Sophia's adamant," an anonymous source tells the outlet. "Cait's terrified of losing her, so she's going along with whatever Sophia wants."
The magazine says the two have begun discussing and looking into various adoption agencies, and Jenner's even keyed her family in on the situation. "Everyone was too polite to say anything, but the fact is that Caitlyn's not getting any younger," adds the anonymous tipster. "She may not be able to keep up with a little one. Cait never imagined she'd be adding to her brood at 70, but honestly, nothing surprises her anymore."
Instead of retreating behind unidentified and unverifiable sources, Gossip Cop reached out to Jenner's spokesperson. The former Olympian's rep tell us on the record that this latest claim is simply "not true." Jenner and Hutchins have never publicly announced or confirmed any sort of a romantic relationship either. As a matter of fact, the two have gone on record to refer to each other as partners, but not in a romantic sense. There's no reason to believe otherwise, despite the tabloids repeated attempts at painting them as a solely romantic pairing.
Additionally, Hutchins just finished raising $3 million in seed funding for her health technology company, Lumasol. Why would she go through all of the effort to secure funding and investments for her company, only to take off and actively pursue one of the most time-consuming and energy-intensive activities a person can participate in? Would she even sign the adoption papers, or would it all be on Caitlyn? The tabloid never offers any more details about the supposed adoption plans for the simple fact that they don't exist.
Previously, we called out OK! in August for a bogus story about Jenner cutting her kids out of her will. In October 2018, the tabloid falsely claimed Jenner's family felt like Hutchins was using her. Time proved our initial dismissals of those articles correct, and we're confident this latest one will be no exception.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
