Caitlyn Jenner is not panicking because her plastic surgery has supposedly backfired, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can bust the story. It's simply not true.
The National Enquirer is alleging Jenner's plastic surgery "binges have backfired and worn her features to the bone." The tabloid quotes a so-called "source" as saying, "She's always looking in the mirror and collapsing in fear over the damage. She sees scars, stretch marks and weird sagging all over her face."
The so-called "insider" further contends that Jenner now "looks terrible and no amount of makeup can hide it." The outlet even goes as far as to quote a doctor who hasn't treated the former Olympian as speculating about her medical procedures. "Overall it is a horrible outcome!" says the surgeon, who's never seen Jenner in person.
The article also refers back to a phony story it published in February about Jenner undergoing plastic surgery before marrying Sophia Hutchins, a claim that Gossip Cop debunked at the time. The reality star didn't undergo cosmetic work to get ready for an imaginary wedding. We ran the magazine's latest report by Jenner's spokesperson, who confirms it's more nonsense.
Earlier this week, Gossip Cop ran a story featuring many of the mean rumors about Jenner that we've debunked in recent months. The tabloids have been especially vicious towards Jenner since her transition, and the Enquirer is one of the worst culprits. In May, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming Jenner annoyed her golfing buddies by hitting from the ladies' tees. A rep for the former Olympian assured us the article was ridiculous, and further noted that she has a great relationship with the fellow members of her country club.
The tabloid has also been consistently wrong in its reporting about Jenner and Hutchins' relationship. In June, the magazine published a story alleging Jenner and Hutchins were calling off a summer wedding because they couldn't stop fighting while trying to plan the nuptials. The reality star's spokesperson assured Gossip Cop that story was also baseless.
As for Jenner's plastic surgery "backfiring," the former Olympian has obviously gotten work done since becoming a woman, but there's zero indication she's unhappy with how she looks. In June, Gossip Cop called out the Enquirer's sister outlet, In Touch, for alleging Jenner was getting more plastic surgery to prevent herself from turning back into "Bruce" again. This latest take on the subject is more fiction.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
