A story claiming Caitlyn Jenner "wasn't happy" about Kylie Jenner becoming a "young mom" is not true, Gossip Cop is exclusively told. This allegation is spreading online on Thursday, but we can bust it.

According to an article featured on the "Entertainment Tonight" website, "Not everyone in Kylie Jenner's family was thrilled to hear that she is pregnant." A so-called "source close to the Kardashian-Jenner brood" is quoted as saying the former Olympian "wasn't happy at first about Kylie becoming a young mother." In turn, the outlet's alleged tipster maintains Kylie "wasn't happy about how Caitlyn responded."

No specifics, however, are offered. It's not said how Caitlyn found out about the pregnancy, how exactly she reacted, what she said to her 20-year-old daughter or what Kylie said in response. It also isn't clear why this is being claimed now when news of the pregnancy first broke back in September. Almost exactly fourth months have gone by.

Seemingly to substantiate its assertion that there was a dispute, "ET" points out that in a 2016 episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Caitlyn argued 30 is a "good age" to have children, while Kylie gave the younger number of 25, saying that "30 is too late." But just because the "I Am Cait" star previously advocated for an older age, that doesn't mean she's been upset Kylie is having a child now. In fact, in that very same "KUWTK" scene, she urged her daughter to have "at least three" kids.

Of course, Caitlyn hasn't been able to publicly express approval of the pregnancy or congratulate her daughter because the family has is respecting Kylie's desire not to talk about the subject. For example, Kris Jenner dodged questions on the topic from from Ellen DeGeneres during a November appearance on the talk show. But make no mistake, Gossip Cop is assured Kylie has her dad's blessing. In fact, Caitlyn's rep exclusively tells Gossip Cop that the "Entertainment Tonight" story is "total bull."

Unfortunately, blogs that shirk fact-checking have already regurgitated the untrue claims. Perez Hilton, for instance, is asking in a headline, "Caitlyn & Kylie Jenner Had A Rift Over Pregnancy News??" The online publication wrongly asserts that while "the rest of the Kardashian fam embraced Kylie Jenner's pregnancy news fairly quickly," Caitlyn "isn't one to go with the flow." Perez then copies the aforementioned "source" quotes, but gives no consideration as to whether they're true or not.

Well, they're not. Just like it wasn't true in October when HollywoodLife claimed Caitlyn was having a "change of heart" about Kylie having a baby after supposedly being against it. As her spokesperson told us then, Caitlyn has "always" been "supportive" of the pregnancy. Sadly, in addition to Hilton, HollywoodLife and The Inquisitr have also chosen to run the fictional storyline instead of the truth.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
