Caitlyn Jenner is not giving Kylie Jenner a "$50K push present" to get plastic surgery following the birth of her child. This claim was just published in a tabloid on Wednesday and is already spreading online. Gossip Cop, however, can debunk it.
The allegation originates in Star, the same gossip magazine that's been proven to make-up outrageous tales about the famous family, including a 2015 cover story that falsely claimed Caitlyn wanted to be "Bruce" again and reverse her transition. In this latest piece of fiction, the outlet alleges she has a "twisted treat in store" for Kylie after she gives birth: "A $50K coupon for plastic surgery."
"Ever since Caitlyn transitioned, the only thing they have in common is makeup and cosmetics procedures, so the gift is Caitlyn's warped way of bonding," a so-called "source" is quoted as saying. This supposed snitch goes on to allege that Caitlyn "promised Kylie that she would pay for a full mommy makeover," including a breast lift and tummy tuck, as well as "as much liposuction as she wants." The publication even accuses Caitlyn of "exploiting her daughter's low self-esteem and addiction to surgery to stay in her daughter and her grandchild's life."
But there's a telltale sign that the tabloid is full of it. The magazine writes that the 20-year-old is "rumored to be expecting a baby girl with rapper Travis Scott." If the outlet actually had a "source," as claimed above, it would know for sure that Kylie is actually expecting. Instead, the publication says it's only "rumored," so how could it possibly have enough inside access to know about this supposed "push present"?
That red flag didn't deter HollywoodLife, which rushed to regurgitate the print story online before finding out whether or not it was accurate. The website asserted that although Kylie has been "keeping her baby bump under wraps," she "might emerge" following the birth "looking just like her pre-pregnancy self... with the help of a possible gift" from Caitlyn. The blog copied the claims about a "$50,000 coupon for plastic surgery," but then after it was published, buried in a denial. Yet the headline of the post remains unchanged, as does the ending, in which readers are asked, "What do you think of Caitlyn's reported push present for Kylie?"
Well, here's what Gossip Cop thinks — nay, knows. Unlike Star, which hides behind an untraceable "source," Gossip Cop is told directly from Caitlyn's own rep that it's "not true" she will be forking over $50,000 for her daughter to have post-baby plastic surgery. And apparently neither publication considered that Kylie is beyond wealthy enough to pay for her own cosmetics procedures, should she choose to get any done. Kylie, whose cosmetics brand is on track to become A $1 billion company, certainly doesn't need her dad to cough off up the cash.
It's also curious that nothing is mentioned about Caitlyn being "banned" from the delivery room when Kylie gives birth, which is what Star claimed back in October. The problems here with consistency, accuracy and logic run deep. Unfortunately, The Inquisitr is also spreading this misinformation about a "mommy makeover" funded by Caitlyn. Just consider the original source of these allegations and it'll be clear just who is and isn't telling the truth.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
