Caitlyn Jenner is not struggling with incontinence in the wake of her gender reassignment surgery, despite a tasteless and speculative report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story. A rep for the transgender star bluntly tells us the folks at Star are "idiots" for publishing this tale in the first place.
The narrative was apparently sparked by photos of Jenner following dinner at the restaurant Craig's on March 31 with what appeared to possibly be a wet spot on her pants. Alongside one of the paparazzi pictures, the tabloid is blaring, "Caitlyn's Sex Change Saga: Is The Transgender Reality Star Having Regrets About Becoming A Woman?"
According to the article, Jenner's pals are "fearing she could be suffering from sex-change complications" in the wake of her leaving the hotspot with the apparent wet spot on her trousers. A so-called "eyewitness" is quoted as saying, "It was almost like she wet herself and was embarrassed." To support this premise, the gossip magazine cites a Florida-based doctor, who has never even met Jenner, but notes that due to her gender confirmation surgery, she could have "permanent scarring, urinary incontinence and urinary tract infections."
To be clear, this physician has never treated Jenner, and this article is all because paparazzi took pictures of the star as she left a restaurant. The outlet also quotes an alleged "friend close to Caitlyn," who speculates, "She's likely been told that 'accidents' were one of the potential side effects of the surgery and that there might be complications." But how "close" is this "friend" if the person is merely guessing what Jenner was "likely" told? And what kind of "close" pal would discuss such matters with a publication like this, anyway?
No one genuinely "fearing she could be suffering from sex-change complications" would actually leak information about Jenner to a tabloid, especially this one. This is the same magazine that in 2015 ran a cover story falsely announcing Jenner wanted to "be Bruce again." At the time, Jenner's spokesperson expressed shock to Gossip Cop that the publication ran such a bogus storyline.
Now her rep is incredulous again over this latest article about Jenner's wet pants, sarcastically telling Gossip Cop, "No chance she could have spilled a bit of water there. Of course not." The spokesperson bluntly adds, "What a bunch of idiots." The outlet doesn't even know for sure whether the former Olympian is suffering from incontinence, but still saw fit to peddle this piece about her "possible potty problem." The real problem lies with Star, not Jenner.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
